All 17 of Northern Illinois University’s intercollegiate athletic team have surpassed the academic standards measured by the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s Academic Progress Rate for 2008-09, marking the fifth consecutive year that every NIU team has made the grade. The NCAA released its complete 2008-09 Division I APR report Wednesday.

Sophomore Megan Gregory closed out the 2009-2010 Northern Illinois Athletics’ competitive season Saturday at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field West Preliminaries with her appearance in the quarterfinals of the 100-meter hurdles at the Mike A. Myers Track and Soccer Complex.

Northern Illinois sophomore Megan Gregory lowered her school record time in the 100-meter hurdles for the sixth time this season to advance to the quarterfinals at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field West Region Preliminary Round Friday.  

The top Mid-American Conference institutional awards were handed out Wednesday as Kent State was awarded the Reese Trophy representing the top men's athletic program and the Jacoby Trophy representing the top women's athletic program.

Northern Illinois track and field freshman Courtney Oldenburg qualified for the NCAA West Region Preliminary round in the 1,500-meter run, head coach Connie Teaberry revealed Monday.

Northern Illinois track and field sophomore Megan Gregory qualified for the NCAA West Region Preliminary Round in the 100-meter hurdles after posting a strong performance at the 2010 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Championships this past weekend. Setting Northern Illinois school records, sophomore Megan Gregory and senior Cora Caulfield helped lead the NIU women’s track and field team to an 11th-place finish at the 2010 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Championships in Buffalo, N.Y., Saturday. NIU scored points in six events as the Huskies concluded their third and final day of competition at the UB Stadium.

The Northern Illinois track and field team kicked-off competition at the Mid-American Conference Outdoor Championships Thursday, when Rachel Pinson and Mary Bull led the Huskies in field events at UB Stadium. MUNCIE, Ind.- The Northern Illinois women's track and field team concluded its regular season at the Ball State Quadrangular as the Huskies posted 10 top-five performances and multiple personal-best records to wrap up their regular season Friday at the BSU Field Sports Building in Muncie, Ind. The Huskies faced Mid-American Conference foes Ball State, Western Michigan, and Miami (Ohio) at the quadrangular.

CHARLESTON – The Northern Illinois women's track and field team raced to a third-place finish at the Eastern Illinois Early Bird Invitational as the Huskies recorded a school record and multiple personal-best marks to open their season Friday night.
