Cornerbacks coach Richard McNutt hired at N.C. State

Northern Illinois cornerbacks coach Richard McNutt has been hired to the same position at N.C. State, joining former NIU head coach Dave Doeren.

McNutt has been at NIU the past two seasons. The Park Forest native and Rich East product played his college ball at Ohio State, and was a member of the Buckeyes' 2002 national championship team.

“I would like to thank Coach Doeren and Debbie Yow for the opportunity to join the Wolfpack Family,” McNutt said in an N.C. State news release.  “I am very excited to continue building on the foundation that has been set and I look forward to mentoring and developing our secondary here at N.C. State.”

McNutt will help coach the Huskies in the Orange Bowl.
