Northern Illinois wide receivers coach Frisman Jackson is the second member of NIU's coaching staff to join Dave Doeren at N.C. State, according to an N.C. State release.

Jackson came to DeKalb this season, and spent 2010-11 coaching wide receivers at Akron. He played at NIU from 1997-99 before transferring to Western Illinois.

"My family and I are both excited and thankful to Coach Doeren for the opportunity to join the Wolfpack family," Jackson said in the release. "N.C. State is a very special place and I will work tirelessly to help continue building on its rich football tradition."

Jackson will coach NIU in the Orange Bowl.
