Big win for Northern Illinois Saturday. There were a lot of things to like (Jordan Lynch shines again) while there were also things to be disappointed about (the defense still hasn't forced a a turnover against a BCS team).

Offense
Jordan Lynch, junior, quarterback
Lynch is sure to be a fixture here. Saturday, he was efficient passing the ball (23 of 35 for 235 yards) and went over 100 yards rushing once again, totaling 134 yards on the ground.
Defense
Alan Baxter, senior, defensive end
Baxter finished with six tackles and sacked Kansas quarterback Dayne Crist twice, the last one coming on the Jayhawks' final drive.
Special teams
Tommylee Lewis, senior, kick returner
Lewis helped put the Huskies in decent field position, averaging 25 yards on his three kick returns, with a long of 35.
