At last night's Northern Illinois athletics awards show, NIU athletic director Jeff Compher made good on a promise he made to get his head shaved if NIU won a Mid-American Conference championship.
Well, NIU has won four MAC titles during the 2011-12 academic year (football, men's soccer, men's tennis and women's volleyball). So members of each of the four championship teams shaved Compher's head in front of a live audience.
At the end of the video, Compher says, "I didn't think they really would hold me to it, but all year long, [NIU men's soccer playe] Rocco's [Taglia] been saying, 'We're shaving your head.' "
