Northern Illinois spokeswoman Donna Turner confirmed to the Daily Chronicle today that the NIU football team will play a game at Wake Forest in 2014 and a game at Ohio State in 2015. NIU's game at Wake Forest in 2014 is the completion of a three-year deal with Wake Forest. The Huskies played Wake Forest in 2001 and 2002.
The games are tentatively scheduled for Sept. 13, 2014 and Sept. 12, 2015, but are subject to change.
NIU will receive a $900,000 payout for the Ohio State game.
