NIU men's basketball schedule out soon

Northern Illinois is expected to release its 2010-11 men’s basketball schedule within the next week. Several non-conference games are already set, however, including the season-opener against Northwestern at home, a return trip from last year’s game at Welsh-Ryan Arena.

Other non-conference games include trips to DePaul and Maryland Eastern Shore and a return visit from Illinois-Chicago. The Huskies lost at UIC 69-49 last season.

NIU also will host an ESPNU BracketBusters game against an undetermined opponent. The Huskies were on the road for BracketBusters last year, a 73-71 loss at Eastern Illinois.
