Daily Chronicle announcement

Beginning Monday, July 26, Jeremy Werner starts as the Daily Chronicle's Northern Illinois beat writer. He will be predominantly covering NIU athletics, along with some high school sports. John Sahly, who has covered NIU and prep sports since March 2008, was promoted to sports editor on June 23.

Prior to coming to the Daily Chronicle, Werner was the sports editor at the Paxton Record and covered Illinois football and men's basketball recruiting for IlliniHQ.com, the Champaign News-Gazette's Illinois athletics website.

We are very excited to have Jeremy join our newsroom and look forward to having him help the Daily Chronicle and HuskieWire.com continue to grow and improve.
