Report: Providence interested in Anderson

The Providence Journal is reporting that members of Providence College's coaching staff have been talking with former Northern Illinois guard Jake Anderson, who will not return for his senior season with the Huskies and has been the subject of a lot of conversation regarding his comments earlier this week about his departure.

Anderson confirmed Thursday that he has been released from his scholarship at NIU and reiterated he doesn't know where he'll go after he graduates from NIU in May.
