Jones commits to NIU

Despite being in the throes of a 10-game losing streak, the Northern Illinois men's basketball team has landed what appears to be a pretty big recruit in point guard Kyree Jones.

Jones, who comes from Carolina Tech Prep School in North Carolina but calls Indianapolis, Ind. home, said he called NIU coach Ricardo Patton two days ago to commit to the Huskies.
