Halftime: NIU 37, Toledo 35

DeKALB – In what is looking like a critical game for the Northern Illinois women's basketball team's hopes of hosting a first round game in the MAC Tournament, the Huskies lead Toledo, 37-35 at halftime.

The Huskies started off hot, going 5 of 5 from the field to start the game. But NIU then made only 6 of its next 26 shots and allowed Toledo to come back. Kylie York leads the Huskies with 12 points on four three-pointers.

The two teams ahead of NIU in the MAC standings, Ball State and Miami (Ohio) both won earlier today, leaving NIU a game-and-a-half back of the Cardinals and two-and-a-half behind the RedHawks. NIU plays at Ball State on Tuesday, but after today there are only three games remaining in the season.
