Nothing certain on Harnish yet
As we reported on national signing day, quarterback Chandler Harnish's injured right knee is a concern entering spring football for Northern Illinois and Harnish might not be ready.
As of Thursday night, nothing is certain with regards to Harnish.
"Coach [Jerry Kill] said he would give [an] update to all when he has definite news," NIU sports information director Donna Turner said in an e-mail. "[He] has not given [an] update there is no determination or definite news yet."
Kill told ESPN.com's Graham Watson this on Tuesday:
“He’s doing some things in the offseason, but that’s a big question mark,” Kill said of Harnish’s status. “That’s why we recruited a junior college quarterback [Casey Weston] that’s very talented. Because if something happened with Chandler, I want to make sure we have a guy that’s been underneath center.”
