What's wrong with the Huskies?

After starting out Mid-American Conference play 4-0, the Northern Illinois men's basketball team has lost four straight by an average margin of 15.75 points and now sits at 4-4, tied for seventh place overall in the conference.

Defensively this has been the worst stretch of the season for the Huskies. They gave up 99 and 95 points in their last two home losses and have allowed teams to be remarkably efficient on the offensive end. In the past four games, teams are shooting a ridiculous 48.5 percent against NIU.

On offense, NIU ranks No. 300 in the country in effective field goal percentage at 45.4 percent according to Ken Pomeroy. The Huskies are shooting 29.5 percent from three-point range, good for No. 316 in Division I basketball.

This is just what the statistics say. What do the fans think? Well, that's what I'm asking you. Quite simply, in your view, what's wrong with the Huskies?
