Final: Ohio 99, Northern Illinois 84

DeKALB – Northern Illinois couldn't keep up with Ohio guards D.J. Cooper and Armon Basset and lost to the Bobcats, 99-84, on Wednesday the Convocation Center.

Cooper and Basset combined for 54 points and controlled the tempo throughout the entire second half, allowing Ohio to pull away with the victory.

NIU falls to 8-10 overall and 4-2 in the MAC West while Ohio is now 11-9 overall and 2-4 in the MAC East.

Xavier Silas led the Huskies with 31 points.
