Former Northern Illinois offensive tackle Matt Krempel has earned membership in the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame’s Hampshire honor society for 2014.

The honor is given to senior college football players across all three divisions who are starters or significant reserves and maintain a GPA above 3.2. Krempel is one of nine MAC players who earned the honor.

The NFF honored a record-setting 838 players this season.

Krempel finished his Huskie career with a 3.43 GPA.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in health sciences in 2012 and took graduate classes during the 2012 and 2013 seasons.
