Christian Blake

Hometown: Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Highlights: Caught 22 passes for 326 yards and seven touchdowns his senior season. Had offers from Missouri and Syracuse, according to 247sports.

Dale Brown

Position: Tight end

Size: 6-5, 245

Hometown: Lee’s Summit, Mo.

Highlights: Two-time all-conference selection during his prep career. Caught eight passes for 97 yards and two touchdowns as a member of his school’s Class 5A state title team as a senior.

Russell Chambers

Position: Defensive end

Size: 6-5, 245

Hometown: Milwaukee, Wisc.

Highlights: Earned all state honors in both 2012 and 2013. Had five sacks this past season.

Ben Compton

Position: Defensive end

Size: 6-4, 240

Hometown: Windsor, Conn.

Highlights: Junior-college transfer is already enrolled at NIU. Finished his Monroe College career with 59 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks in two seasons.

Herlandez Corley

Position: Defensive end

Hometown: Mobile, Ala.

Highlights: Yet another Mobile product who finds his way to DeKalb, Corley had 89 tackles and six sacks his senior year.

Will Daniels

Position: Defensive back

Hometown: Green Bay, Wisc.

Highlights: Had 45 tackles, three force fumbles and three interceptions as a senior at Preble High School. Was also his team’s starting quarterback.

Peter Deppe

Highlights: Earned all-state honors as a senior after averaging 44 yards per punt.

Shane Evans

Position: Offensive lineman

Hometown: Crystal Lake, Ill.

Highlights: Evans was a high school teammate of current NIU linebacker Sean Folliard.

Evans followed in Folliard’s footsteps by enrolling early at NIU this year and has already spent the last month on campus. Evans won a Class 6A state championship with Prairie Ridge in 2011.

Aaron Fischer

Hometown: Sun Prairie, Wisc.

Highlights: Was a two-time all-conference honoree while helping his team to conference titles as a junior and senior.

Jareem Fleming

Position: Defensive end

Hometown: Chicago, Ill.

Highlights: Played linebacker, defensive end and tight end for Morgan Park High School. Comes from the same program that produced Huskie wideout Da’Ron Brown.

Kenny Golladay

Position: Wide receiver

Highlights: Will be eligible to play in 2015 after spending two seasons at North Dakota, where he had 1,313 yards and nine touchdowns.

Ryan Graham

Highlights: Graham was a three-year starter at Wheaton-Warrenville South. His father, Dan, played for the Huskies from 1984-87 as a tight end.

Christian Hagan

Highlights: Went 9 of 15 on field-goal attempts as a senior. Was also a quarterback and punter.

Deion Hallmon

Highlights: Had over 40 Division I offers, including multiple options at BCS schools. Was invited to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Following a senior season where he had 20 tackles, two forced fumbles and a school-record six blocked field goals.

Ty Harmston

Hometown: Stockton, Ill.

Highlights: Played on both the offensive and defensive lines and spent time at tight end his senior year. Was a three-time all-conference selection.

Darion Henderson

Position: Defensive back

Highlights: Finished his senior year with 62 tackles, 10 pass breakups, four forced fumbles and three picks.

Tifonte Hunt

Position: Cornerback

Hometown: Harvey, Ill.

Highlights: Originally committed to Illinois State, but chose NIU late in the process. Hunt returned six kicks for touchdowns in high school at Thornton.

Jawuan Johnson

Highlights: Had 70 tackles, six forced fumbles and two interceptions in 2013. Also played wideout for New Boston High School.

Aaron Kumbier

Highlights: Two-time all-conference wide receiver was also named to the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-State team as a senior.

Rajshawn Mosley

Highlights: Finished his senior year with 110 tackles and three forced fumbles. Product of the same high school that produced current NIU defensive lineman William Lee.

David O’Gorman

Highlights: Two-time all-conference defensive end was also named to the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-State team as a senior.

Mayomi Olootu

Position: Cornerback

Hometown: Allen, Tex.

Highlights: Rated a three-star prospect by 247sports, Olootu helped Allen High School to a 16-0 record and state title in 2013.

Khalil Rogers

Highlights: Had 56 tackles and three pass breakups as a senior. Comes from the same program as former Huskie running back Michael Turner and former defensive lineman Anthony Wells.

Landon Root

Highlights: One of NIU’s first commits in the 2014 class, Root is a dual-threat quarterback who fits same type of mold as Chandler Harnish and Jordan Lynch.

Ran a similar read-option offense in high school.

Tony Rychlowski

Highlights: Two-time all-conference selection was a high school teammate of current NIU offensive lineman Josh Ruka.

Ezra Saffold

Hometown: Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

Highlights: Attended the same high school as current NIU wide receiver Tommylee Lewis, and helped Dwyer tot he Florida Class 7A state title as a senior. Caught 60 passes for 1,183 yards and 19 touchdowns in 2013.

Max Scharping

Highlights: Three-time all-conference pick for Green Bay Southwest High School, where he started on the offensive and defensive lines.

David Senior

Highlights: Committed to NIU last July and stayed with the Huskies, despite having offers from the likes of Wisconsin and Nebraska. Was Boyd Anderson High School’s MVP as a senior after catching 35 passes for 510 yards and five touchdowns.

Luke Shively

Hometown: Tipton, Ind.

Highlights: Three-time all-area pick for Tipton High School. Was team MVP as a senior.

Albert Smalls

Position: Defensive back

Hometown: Opa Locka, Fla.

Highlights: Former high school teammate of current NIU freshman linebacker Robert Jones. Finished the 2013 campaign with 40 tackles, four picks and eight pass breakups.

Denzel Tolliver

Position: Tight end

Highlights: Caught 38 passes for 375 yards and nine touchdowns his senior year. Had a school-record 11 catches in one game. High school teammate of NIU linebacker Jamaal Payton.
