Northern Illinois quarterback Jordan Lynch is one of 30 candidates for the Senior CLASS Award.
CLASS stands for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School. The award focuses on athletes who use their platform in athletics to make an impact as leaders in their communities.
Lynch is active in the DeKalb-Sycamore community, participating in activities such as visiting area elementary and middle schools, as well as running football camps in the surrounding area.
On the field, Lynch was named to preseason watch lists for the Maxwell Award (college player of the year), as well as the Walter Camp (most outstanding player), Manning (top QB, including bowl performance), Paul Hornung (most versatile player), Davey O'Brien (top QB) and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm (most outstanding senior or fourth-year QB) awards.
