Coming off back-to-back Mid-American Conference championships and a trip to the Orange Bowl, Northern Illinois will try to capitalize on its unprecedented success by signing its next recruiting class.

On Wednesday, NIU will have its first opportunity to sign players to a written letter of commitment.

Here's a breakdown of what you can expect from HuskieWire.com for signing day coverage:

Tuesday:
We'll lead our coverage with someone already on NIU's campus, Prairie Ridge graduate Sean Folliard. Why did he decide to enroll early in DeKalb?

Wake up with some analysis on past recruiting classes. How accurate have the major recruiting services and high school scouting reports been on past Huskie recruiting classes? We revisit the Classes of 2008 and 2009, which were a major part of Northern Illinois' trip to the Orange Bowl.

NIU, once again, went through a coaching change near the end of the recruiting season. How did Rod Carey and his coaching staff keep many of NIU's commits and how did they adjust to new roles?

8 a.m:
Daily Chronicle beat writer Steve Nitz starts your day with a live blog. He'll have updates throughout the day on NIU's signing class.

NIU coach Rod Carey conducts his news conference to announce all the members of his first signing class in DeKalb. We'll have live updates throughout the news conference.
