Northern Illinois has announced it will offer free Orange Bowl tickets to students who can make it to Miami for the bowl game on Jan. 1 against Florida State.
Students can reserve their free ticket – NIU is only allowing one per student – at the Convocation Center ticket office starting today. Students will need proper identification.
NIU has offered free tickets to students before, but never for a game of this magnitude. The Huskies finished the season 12-1 and champions of the Mid-American Conference.
Tickets for non-students range from $75-$225 if you're purchasing them from NIU's allotment. You can purchase them through niuhuskies.com or can call the Convocation Center at 815-752-6800 during regular business hours.
