MAC title game central

By DAILY CHRONICLE STAFF - sports@daily-chronicle.com

Today is the day.

Northern Illinois takes on Kent State in the Mid-American Conference Championship game at 6 p.m. at Ford Field in Detroit. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2 and carried on radio on 1360-AM, WLBK in DeKalb.

The Huskies, who defeated Ohio, 23-20, in last year's MAC Championship, are looking to become only the third team to win back-to-back MAC Championship games. NIU brings its high-scoring attack – led by junior QB Jordan Lynch – against a Kent State defense that leads the conference in forced turnovers.

To get ready for tonight's game, here is a review of this week's coverage leading up to the MAC title game.
