
The Northern Illinois University softball player Zoe Sinner garnered MAC West Player of the Week honors after a solid week at the plate.
Sinner, who leads all Huskie hitters with a .341 batting average, belted three of her MAC-leading eight home runs last week, including a two-homer performance in the first game of a doubleheader against Akron. Her third home run of the week, a lead-off shot in the top of the seventh in the second contest, keyed the Huskies' 7-6 comeback win over the Zips. Sinner went 6-for-7 on the day with four RBIs.
For the week, Sinner batted .533 in five games, going 8-for-15 with five of those eight hits going for extra bases, and walking four times. She slugged 1.267, driving in five runs while scoring six.
