Northern Illinois women’s soccer sophomore Kelsey Passaglia was named the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday as she helped lead the Huskies to a 2-1 MAC victory over Ball State this past weekend.
“Kelsey has been performing well,” NIU women’s soccer coach Carrie Barker said. “She is a hard worker and it is great to see her get recognition by the MAC.”
Passaglia recorded her third goal of the season on Friday, when she scored NIU’s second goal in the Huskies’ 2-1 victory over Ball State. She also assisted senior Lisa Maier in a goal against the Cardinals in just the first five minutes of the match to earn three points in the contest. She currently leads the Huskies with seven points and 27 shot attempts this season.
