FISHERS, Ind. – Senior Kim Hunley led the Northern Illinois women's golf team at the Mid-American Conference Fall Preview, finishing 20th out of 92 competitors, Tuesday.

Hunley shot a 236 at the 36-hole tournament. Her best round came over the second 18, where she carded a four-over 76. With first and third rounds of 80, Hunley wrapped up the tournament 20-over, 13 strokes back of the medalist, Breanne Neufeld of Bradley.

"She had good consistent rounds, and some good golf going," head coach Pam Tyksa said.

As a team, the Huskies were forced to withdraw from the tournament after two NIU golfers suffered injuries. Mandi Vavrinchik and Jessica Parmenter both had to sit the final round, causing Northern Illinois to have only three eligible players, and forcing the Huskies to withdraw from the tournament.

"It would have been irresponsible for me to allow them to continue playing," Tyska said. "The positive is that we had some good individual finishes."

Kelsie Passolt used one of the best rounds of her Huskie career, a second-round 74, to tie for 30th. Passolt bounced back from a tough first round 85, and finished strong with an 80 over the final 18 holes.

Allie Parthie recorded a 269, while Laura Schutte fired a 283 to round out the Huskie scorers.

The MAC Fall Preview concluded the Huskies' fall season, which was highlighted by a first place finish at the 25th Annual Huskie Classic.
